The Goodman GMVM970603BN is a variable-speed gas furnace with ComfortNet compatibility. It uses a powerful, heavy-duty aluminized-steel dual-diameter, tubular heat exchanger with a stainless-steel secondary heat exchanger. It is housed in a heavy-gauge steel cabinet with a durable baked-enamel finish that fully insulates the exchanger and blower section. This helps reduce the noise created by the already quiet variable-speed airflow system.

This Goodman gas furnace is a multi-position, modulating, variable-speed heater. It uses a durable Silicon Nitride igniter to maintain a comfortable temperature in the home. It has a high fire input heating capacity of 60,000 BTU/h with natural gas. This model is compatible with both single-stage and two-stage thermostats with ComfortNet communications.

This heater comes from the GMVM97 line of Goodman gas furnaces. This collection of Goodman gas furnaces has up to 97% AFUE (annual fuel utilization efficiency) rating. Many standard furnaces feature 60% AFUE, which means that this system can contribute to significant energy savings.

This multi-position Goodman gas heater offers many installation options. It can be installed in an upflow, horizontal left or right positions. This model features enhanced dehumidification and Auto-Comfort modes for a comfortable experience. Plus, a self-diagnostic control board helps maintain the reliability of this unit.
